When we were kids, we hated taking naps. We would pretend we were sleeping, and when our parents left the room, we would jump out of our beds and continue our playtime. But, as we got older, we wanted to get a whole lot of sleep. (Does sleeping in class ring a bell?) We regret not maximizing our younger days where afternoon naps can be considered a daily requirement. Things significantly become harder once we’re old enough to acquire full-time jobs. It’s as if sleep is no longer a major part of our lives anymore. And, as a result, we inevitably become sleep-deprived. That is why when we see a bed, we take the chance to lie on it and succumb to the rest we deserve.
So what happens we get way, way older? Would it be that simple to jump in bed and sleep? I don’t think so. I wonder what our grandparents feel when the beds they lie on are unfit for them. Probably uncomfortable, and somehow painful. What about the differently abled people? I’m sure they would have difficulty if they were in the same situation.
