More than just a Bed | Uratex Blog

Did you know that we’ll be spending more than a third of our life in bed? What’s different about it though is that unlike the other 16 hours a day we spend moving around, working or studying, the 8 hours of slumber is our moment of rest. And if you ask me how I want to enjoy the 33% of my lifetime, we’d have to look at where I’ll be spending it.

A mattress is certainly an investment that I’d happily make when I get a house someday.  Why? Because, and I’m sure most of you would agree, there’s nothing like taking solace on a comfortable bed after a hard day’s work. However, from the myriad beds and mattresses available in the market today, which type should you choose?

Choosing a mattress isn’t as easy as it seems - search for the mattress that fits your needs!

Sleep Etiquette Part 2: Waking up the right way | Uratex Blog

Wake up the right way for a more productive and energized day ahead!

I never knew that there was a right way in waking up – it seems like the most natural thing our bodies were designed to do. But I’ve discovered that there are clear-cut steps we can take to make our mornings the best thing to look forward to. In my previous post, we’ve covered simple ways on how to get well-rested sleep, but there are also remarkable changes we can make in our day to day to get us up and going in the mornings instead of waking up groggy and irritable. We need to be conscious and smart when it comes to awakening from our slumber as well.

From Web to Bed: Buying Beds Online | Uratex Blog

Ten years ago, the idea of buying your bed online seems to be an absurd idea. When it comes to home furniture, buying it from the warehouse is the best way to go. It’s better to see the actual product and “test” it before making the decision to buy it or not. Considering how expensive it is to buy a bed, who would want to risk buying one on the Internet when there’s a big chance that your purchase won’t arrive on your door steps. Never mind the problems with the logistics of bringing your bed from the warehouse to your house and all the way to your bedroom. However, times have changed including the way to buy your bed. Now, there’s an increasing number of people deciding to buy their beds online for numerous reasons.

Comfy Mattress vs. Sleeping Pills | Uratex Blog

Sleeping pills are a tempting solution to your sleep difficulties, but this quick fix poses several risks to your health.

There are nights when we can’t go to sleep, no matter how tired we are. Internal factors would include worrying too much, very active brain activities, and recent sleeping pattern; meanwhile, external factors would include light in the room, noise, and even the bed itself.

While some of us would just wait it out until we become too tired to stay awake, others would prefer to pop a sleeping pill.

Sleep Etiquette: Tips to Get a Good Night's Sleep | Uratex Blog

It really frustrates me when I don’t get a good night’s sleep.  I realize that the nights I toss and turn for hours before dozing off are consequences of actions I’ve made during the day.  For example, I’ve learned through the hard way that any intake of caffeine beyond 4pm will almost always cause me to sleep later than my usual bedtime.  Additionally, any form of intense exercise past evening resulting in unusually higher levels of heartbeat will most definitely keep me awake for hours, sometimes until the sun rises!

Look into your daily habits to determine why you toss and turn all night

The Best Sleeping Position | Uratex Blog

I like the attitude, but say hello to body pain in the morning

You do not want to be this guy when he wakes up in the morning. Any distortions and misalignments to the human body during sleep will cause, as you may have already experienced before, a very unfortunate amount of pain and discomfort. How your body is positioned during the night will ultimately determine how it feels and functions the next day. So it’s important for you to know which of the three sleeping positions cause the least risks and present the most benefits. Now before we go any further, I must say that seeing these pictures has inspired me to highlight that it’s preferable that you sleep on a bed.
