Do you Really Grow Taller Only When you’re Asleep? | Uratex Blog
You hear it often, especially if you were a child that grew up within Filipino culture. Adults and even other kids tell you that you should get some sleep if you want to grow taller. Some even use it as a reason for you to go and nap in the afternoon. But is there any truth to this? Do you really grow taller only when you’re asleep? Or is this merely a myth often used to trick children so that the adults can have some peace and quiet?
It could also be that it’s just a random reason given to explain why some children end up taller or shorter than others. It’s funny to think about, but it’s actually something that you can look into as I will reveal it in this article. Is there really sound logic and science behind it, or is it just a superstition passed throughout the ages?

Having a dog or cat provides you with the comfort and companionship that only a pet can give. They’re adorable, cute, funny, happy to see you (because you feed them), and fun to play with. Owning a pet is beneficial to the owner as it provides physical protection, emotional stability, and mental responsibility. But it’s not always fun and games when dealing with pets.
They’re also kind of difficult to deal with especially when we get to talk about maintaining them. Sure, pets teach the valuable lesson of responsibility, but attaining that involves a process of hard work and patience. In this article, I’m going to talk to you about how to clean up after your pet’s “mistakes”, more specifically about how to deal with feces and urine stains on your mattress.
To them it’s a normal thing to do. I mean, you feed them, they eat, they digest, they absorb the nutrients, and they defecate. It’s natural for everyone, actually, except pets aren’t really concern with where they dump their load. Now as you train your pet to avoid future dilemmas, you’re going to have to deal with the present mishaps. There are fecal matter stains and there are urine stains. The cleaning parts are similar by essence, but involve different steps and methods.
Can Videogames Reduce Stress? | Uratex Blog
If you’d ask any young adult between the ages of 15 to 23 about two immediate yet satisfying luxuries that they’d prefer to have, it would most likely be videogames and sleep – especially among guys. I mean, I wouldn’t blame them if they come up with those answers since they’re both pleasurable and fulfilling. In this day and age of technology, coupled with the advancement and increasingly rapid pace of life, living gets even more marked by stress. Videogames are used as a form of escape from the impending reality of this postmodern age, and sleep is used to compensate for all the workload that dominates your hours. But is there a link between videogames and sleep?
Well, individually splitting the two activities, sleep is a need but the same time a luxury. With it, you escape from stress, though it’s something that becomes harder and harder to do. Now, videogames aren’t a need but it’s hard to do without thinking of whatever advantages it may give you. Throughout the years, it has been proven by scientific studies that it improves eye-hand coordination, mental reflexes, alertness, and even problem-solving abilities. But with regards to sleep, can videogames contribute to give you those “Z’s” by lessening stress and therefore facilitating sleep?
Thinking about it, technology’s effects on sleep has been mostly for the worst – including videogames. They have been rightly branded as one of the many distractions from sleep, and since playing videogames stimulates brain activity, it leads you away from getting slumber. It’s not looking good if we view videogames and sleep directly in that sense. But what has videogames to do with lowering stress?
